If you are collecting quotes for a website in Jaipur, you have probably seen prices that range from a few thousand rupees to a few lakh for what sounds like the same thing. This guide explains where that difference comes from, what our prices are, and what to ask any developer before you pay.

Quick answer: website prices at PashGen (2026)

What changes the price of a website

1. Number and type of pages

A five-page business site and a 40-page site with a page for every service and location are different jobs. Each page needs its own layout, copy, images and SEO setup.

2. Template or custom design

A template is quick and cheap, but you share the same look with thousands of other businesses and you are limited by what the template allows. A custom design is built around your brand and your customer's journey.

3. Features

Contact forms and a WhatsApp button are simple. Online booking, property listings with search and maps, payment gateways, member logins or an admin panel to manage your own content take much more time to build and test.

4. Content

Someone has to write the text and source the photos. If you provide them, the cost is lower. If the developer writes and organises them, it takes longer.

5. SEO setup

A site that only looks good and a site that is ready for Google are not the same. Proper page titles, descriptions, headings, image alt text, a sitemap and structured data all take time to set up correctly.

6. Support after launch

Things come up after launch: a change in prices, a new service, a broken form. Ask how long support lasts and what it covers.

Why some websites cost so little

The lowest quotes usually mean a ready-made theme with your logo and text dropped in. That can be fine for a short-term need. The trade-offs show up later: slow loading on mobile, little or no SEO setup, plugins that need constant updates, and sometimes no access to your own domain or code.

Costs to plan for every year

  • Domain renewal for your .com or .in address
  • Hosting, unless it is included in your package
  • Maintenance for updates, fixes and small changes
  • Content updates if someone else edits the site for you

Ask for these renewal prices in writing before you start, so there are no surprises in year two.

Freelancer or agency?

A good freelancer can be a great choice for a simple site. An agency usually brings design, development and SEO together and can support you after launch when one person is busy or unavailable. Whichever you choose, look at live websites they have built, not just screenshots.

Questions to ask before you pay anyone

  • Will the domain, hosting account and code be in my name?
  • Is on-page SEO included, and what exactly does it cover?
  • Can you show me a live site you built and its mobile speed score?
  • How many months of support are included, and what counts as support?
  • Who writes the content and supplies the images?
  • What will I pay every year after launch?

How to keep the cost down without getting a bad website

  • Start with the pages that bring enquiries: home, services, about and contact. Add more later.
  • Prepare your text and photos before the project starts.
  • Choose features you will use in the next 6 months, not "maybe one day" features.
  • Pay for a proper SEO setup once, instead of fixing it later.

FAQ

How long does it take to build a website? A standard business website usually takes 2–4 weeks once content is ready. Larger sites and web apps take longer.

Will I own my website? You should. Before you pay, make sure the domain, hosting account and code will be in your name.

Is SEO included? On-page SEO is included with every website we build. Ongoing SEO to grow rankings is a separate monthly service.

React or Next.js — which do I need? If Google search is an important source of customers for you, Next.js is usually the better fit because pages load fast and are easy for Google to read. See our website development services for more.
